Wofford's Interim is a time for exploration and experiential learning away from the rigors of traditional academic courses for students and faculty alike. Students may choose from a variety of on-campus courses, professional internships and research projects, study abroad opportunities or their own independent study project, approved and guided by a faculty advisor. More than 200 students chose to study abroad during Interim 2014.

More than 1,900 students have made the Fall 2013 Dean's List at Coastal Carolina University.

Some 515 students were eligible for degrees at Coastal Carolina University's commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the HTC Center. Michael F. Clayton, recognized as one of the top intellectual property attorneys in the nation, was the speaker. He received the honorary degree, Doctor of Humane Letters, during the event. He urged graduates to balance their drive for commercial success with a goal to serve others.

Study abroad is a major component of Wofford's commitment to shaping globally connected citizens. Opportunities range from travel/study Interim projects to a full-year at a university abroad. Students may choose from more than 200 programs and 59 countries. Co-curricular opportunities include service-learning, internships and cultural excursions.

Local residents have enrolled at Clemson University for the fall semester.

Coastal Carolina University welcomes the Class of 2017. Over 2,200 first-year students have enrolled in CCU for the Fall 2013 semester.

Ninety percent of Wofford College's enrolled students receive approximately $45 million in scholarships, grants and loans each year. Each of the endowed scholarship funds requires that recipients demonstrate outstanding character, academic achievement, and potential for contribution to society; some have additional requirements for eligibility.

Coastal Carolina University has released names of students who earned the Dean's List status for the Spring 2013 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average. All students must be enrolled full time.
